After starting learning microbiology and nutrition in 1989, Jean-Michel POMMET graduated in 2000 having specialized in cellular and molecular biology. He went on to hold several post-doctoral positions in UK and France within the food and pharma industries and develop a strong network in formulation in the frame of a EU project before setting up his own life sciences consulting firm in nutrition and health. Jean-Michel created in 2006 the first ever international conferences in the fields of probiotics, prebiotics and microbiome, events which combined to become PROBIOTA in 2013 (today a leading conference developed worldwide by Nutraingredients.com (William Reed Business Media in UK)). Jean-Michel works in the growing sector of the microalgae since 2013, to develop and find markets for algae-/ plant-based products & alternative protein in nutraceutical, food, feed, aquaculture and agro-ecology; initially for many European key industrial players and now within his own foodtech BLU EAT.
For more than 20 years Alexandra MOSCH has been working in Biotechnology, holding executive positions in SMEs with innovative technologies and products for health applications. She contributed to develop, grow and secure the companies’ business, the growth strategy and the financing until in 2014 and her adventure in the algae world started. Since that time she uses her best efforts as “algaepreneur” and as advisor to SMEs, Corporates and Family Offices to actively contribute to the development of a new agri-food sector with sustainable, nutritious, delicious products – for healthy living in respect with our environment and to the development of cosmeceuticals based on premium quality, natural ingredients with proven efficacy.
Then with over twenty years of experience in nutrition, probiotics, microalgae and plant-based alternative protein either at the science, technology/process or marketing/financing levels; & with a very large network (senior Management, finance, R&D, R&I…) worldwide, the BLU EAT board of highly qualified entrepreneur helps to accelerate the time to market for any innovative projects in nutrition & health, agro-ecology and biotechnology. They are also engaged in creating better heathy and natural food and beverages to be delivered to a large consumer range.
